The enameled street lamp of early European design depicts fragile curvature of steel, braced to Cable & Wireless reinforced cement based street pole. The two houses in the foreground chronicle varying architetural styles, one being entirely wooden, the other having a brick/ stone masonry, with wooden residence on top. Lincoln School, now Jarvis Elementary School, was built with brick. The step-streets, are Danish adaptations to the hilly landscape of St. Thomas, V.I. |
